Hetken mielijohteesta

Realize deeply that the present moment
is all you ever have.
- Eckhart Tolle

It is not in the stars to hold
our destiny but in ourselves.
- William Shakespeare

Jos kaikki asiat kuitenkin tapaavat mennä pipariksi, niin ota käyttöön tämä puhkikulutettu, kliseinen lause, jonka mukaan "everything happens for a reason". Elämä rullaa eteenpäin omalla painollaan, halusit sitä tai et, that's it, piste.

Tai no kaikissahan tapahtumissa on tärkeä muistaa pitää hauskaa eikä mitään saa ottaa turhan vakavasti. Porukalla juostessa on hauskanpito kaiken a ja ö, joten muusta viis.

Maaliin tultiin ehjin nahoin ja asiaan kuuluvasti värikkäinä.

Hide your craziness behind a beautiful smile.

The more you make plans, the more they go wrong. That's the way things just go. The universe won't ask your permission, things just happen. My latest misfortune has been the fact that I'm sick. And this really is unbelievable 'cause I don't tend to be sick, I mean like never. But I just need to face this unpleasant fact and be on a sick leave. And no matter how much I have plans for the upcoming weekends, I need to keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.

My condition is changing all the time, and last weekend it was actually a bit better than what it's now. Two of my friends visited me in my home town and we took part in one running event called Color Obstacle Run. It was really fun, even tough I wasn't feeling so good.

What ever might happen, at least I've learned always to enjoy the moment and people around me. We all need our friends and other people around us to make it through tough times. And it doesn't matter if some of your plans fail or turn upside down. Just face the facts and let it be. "Everything happens for a reason" is one of the sentences that you really need to have in your life. It includes much more than you might think. Just believe in yourself and destiny. Have a little faith and everything will be alright.

The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.

Uusi aluevaltaus

others just get wet.

We think too much and feel to little.
- Charlie Chaplin

I've finish my studies for this semester and started my summer job in a whole new city. Luckily this is also located on the Western Coast because nothing beats the feeling living by the sea! The smell of salty seawater and (not so lovely) voices of the singing seagulls. Those are just few of the things that will make me feel like home no matter where I am.
Despite my sore throat everything has started just fine. I still have to wait for a while to go out and explore the best jogging trail and paths. Until then I'll focus on my new job and living by the sea.

Week 14: The end is near but so is Christmas

I'm so sorry that I haven't been writing for a longlong time. I've just had so much unfinished things to do and there's still huge pile of school works waiting on my desk.

At the beginning of this second part of autumn semester I really felt that I'm gonna have plenty of free time, but the reality has been far away from that. I had two re-exams from my previous courses that I didn't pass. And along those I really needed to focus on my current course where we have had different teacher for each week. So, you can only imagine how confusing it has been and how blurry my head is feeling right now.

Then I'm just wanna tell something really shortly about this another re-exam of mine. So, I put all my efforts and tried to do my best in the written exam, that I actually did twice but failed them both. Deep inside of me I believed that I knew a lot of that course and its topics, but still I just couldn't do it. If there's someone or something to blame, the blame should put on me (of course) but also to the language barrier.

I have to admit that finding the balance between three languages has sometimes felt really difficult and even insurmountable. But after all the hard work (and few tears) that I've done I must say that it has been worth it. Every single day.

And yeah, last month I even celebrated my very first Thanksgiving! It was a really nice: lots of food and international students. I'm grateful for the good company that we had in that day and all the new people I meet and new friends I get every single day!

Then few pictures from one weekend trip to Stockholm. Me and my friends went to check the Christmas markets because it's getting closer and closer every day!
One market was in the Old city and another one in Konstfacks: University of Arts, Crafts and Design.

The queue was so loooong...

...that we had to waite over hour to get in.

When we finally got in we're so amazed. Every stuff and thing were made by the students in that particular univeristy and they were so nice! But bit too expensive for me and my student budget.

Trip to Tallinn

So, my weekend in Tallinn with around 200 other students. At the moment I'm not feeling like a storyteller or anything that would even refer to that, so I'll just put a lot of pictures for you to watch. But photos tells you so much more than words, so everyone feel free to make up your own thoughts about our trip.

First after spending a whole day in a boat (returning from Finland to Stockholm) it wasn't that tempting to go and repeat it, but even so the trip was excellent. We had a lot of fun and again a great chance to getting to know new people.

Our friends were basic tourists, reading the map in the middle of the intersection.

The best shop ever!!

When we got to Tallinn we had the whole day time to explore the city and do what ever we wanted to. Only thing we had to remember was to get back to the boat on time :D

And the first thing we did when we stepped on the soil of Estonia was to find some nice place to buy coffee 'cause the night on the boat was pretty wild and we didn't have a chance to sleep as much as usually. But we're still feeling pretty great and refreshing, and ready to find out all the things that Tallinn had to offer to us.

So as you can already see (and also probably assumed), we went to the Old Town and just walked around so that we could see as many of the beautiful sights and places. The old part of the city was awesome with all the colorful buildings and life marks from the past. More or less it was really small so it didn't take so much time to walk around it. And 'cause we had plenty of time we walked some of the streets more than once.

The city was full of souvenir shops! No matter where you looked or where you went, there're at least one place always near. Just wondering that how can they all be successful and earn their living.

We're so glad to see the flag of Sweden - After all we're almost Swedish ;D
